I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. template questions

instead of "hard coding" the exact question I imagine something along:

    question template:

    text: "What is {{A}} + {{B}} ?"
    correct: eval("{{A}}+{{B}}")
constraints: A is integer between 0 and 9,
B is integer less than 20,
    B > A

a question instance would be the template plus the random seed that generated the instance

eg. template above with seed 543492 would generate "what is 5 + 12 ?" with the answer "17"

you can also add templates for multiple choice answers

eg. one answer could be eval("{{A}}+{{B}}-1") (in the instance above 16)
    another answer could be eval("{{A}}+{{B}}+1")
    another answer could…

    • cards should belong to several units (maybe with different weights)

suppose you learn a unit "Addition" followed by unit "Multiplication"

when you solve: "3*4+5" correctly you should get your score up in both units - because this question is using both multiplication and addition.

In general, questions can use multiple "units" or even "subjects". When you get a question correct or incorrect it should affect the scores of all the related subjects.

      • interactive fiction style teaching

Interactive fiction tells a story that the user can interact with, (eg. open the drawer, move east). There are open source tools to create, and "play" interactive stories.

I think it could be a great way to teach - have the "teacher" dialog with the user and have the user interact, in an flow-chart style dialog.

these could be special types of "cards".

            • Catalogue of all topics

Since there is a limited number of topics to learn, it's pointless to search for one. Until the majority of topics get covered or somehow imported from elsewhere, you can't search for one. I searched for "Docker" and there is nothing. Where do I go from there?
I believe there should be a list of the ones that are available and well populated, so I can choose from the existing options.

                        via damian
The Sage logo bottom left bugged me and seemed like the last place to go for the menu, but then again I’m on Mac and I know Windows Start is bottom left. However, the convention for mobile and many desktops websites is to have main toolbar at the top, which I’ve done.

                            via damian

Borrowed the Subject, Unit, and Card icons from material design. I liked the way the rectangle built into a cube then into a complex block.
